It's been a while since I've updated. I've been so busy that I forgot about my livejournal account. I'm back now to update you guys on my life since the last time I wrote. These past few months have been incredible. DPhiE welcomed a new pledge class of 52 amazing girls. I've had the pleasure of getting to know all of them and I must say that we couldn't have chosen better girls. I got my first little sister and I've become close to her in such a short amount of time. Before bid day I went on vacation to New York City and New Hampshire and I had the time of my life. I got to see everything that I had seen on tv for all of these years and dreamt of seeing some day. I took lots of pictures and you could see them on my website... public.fotki.com/swtlilcuban. I've hung out a lot with my close friends... Erika, Jerry, Marisel, and Nati and my best friend Davi came to visit a couple of times during the summer. I miss him like crazy. My love life is ok at the moment. I've been meeting lots of new guys but haven't found one that I'm interested in. We are going to be doing homecoming with one of my favorite fraternities Sammy and I'm extremely excited about it. PURPLE HAZE 4!! I've been hanging out a lot with FIJI's lately. We had a mixer with them the other day and I was invited to their date dash last night to Halloween Horror Nights. Wil Almarales was my date. I had a blast!! I had sooo much fun! I laughed so much. We went to almost all of the haunted houses and were able to ride the Mummy, the Hulk, and Jurassic Park. We had a bit of trouble with the bus on our way there but 3 buses later we got to Universal. I ended up getting home at 9am this morning and slept til 6pm. That is all for now. I will try to update more often. TTFN. Post back later. |

Ok! I'm super excited guys! I'm going to New York in a few hours. This will be my first time in the "big apple". I'll be gone til August 25th so you won't hear from me for a couple of weeks. Feel free to give me a call if u need to talk to me or if u just want to say hi... lol. Well, I'm almost finished packing and I must say I'm a bit nervous because I saw the free screening of the movie Red Eye last night and I haven't been on an airplane since I was 10 years old. So I'm getting a bit of a fear of flying. I think I'll be ok. My dad bought me a portable DVD player so I think I'll just watch my DVD's and try not to focus on falling at high speeds and crashing into the ground. LoL. I'm so excited though!! We are going to see Beauty and the Beast on broadway, I'm finally going to see the Statue of Liberty, maybe be on TRL in Times Square.... I wish!, I'm also going to Boston, and I'm going to see Niagara Falls. This should be a really exciting trip. Plus I'm going to spend some time with my parents and my grandma which I haven't seen much lately. I hope this trip will be as great as I have dreamt it would be. |

Well today was definitely the day from hell. It was so bad that I decided to write about it in my livejournal after not writing in it for almost a month. First of all, some of you may know one reason why I'm upset today. Couldn't get it out of my head all day and could hardly concentrate. I also woke up with the worst head cold I've ever gotten. I could hardly sleep last night cuz my nose was so stuffed up. I go to work and my coworker is missing. She had a miscarriage yesterday and called in sick from work. I had to do both her work and mine. I must say I don't get paid enough for what I do but it's only a summer job so I can't complain too much. There were so many calls coming in today that I was going insane. I can't wait till school starts and I could have a normal job and a normal life. I'm anxiously awaiting recruitment!! I'm so excited. Another thing I'm excited about and has cheered me up a bit today is the Backstreet Boys concert this Friday. I can't wait!! It's going to be AMAZING! Well I just wanted to let some of my stress out through my writing. I'll post again soon. TTFN. |

This was quite an interesting weekend. We celebrated Mike's best friend's bday. We went to see the movie Land of the Dead. The movie was entertaining but stupid. After that we went to Denny's (our ritual). The next day we went to Gameworks. I schooled everybody on the basketball game. My highest score was 75. We then went to grab a bite to eat at Wendy's and had a food fight with Mike's friend Jamie. After that, we went to New Wave Billiards. We hung out there for a while and then called it a night. Yesterday, I went shopping with my mom all day and went to sleep early for work the next day. I'm back at work now and this should be quite a long week. I hope that it goes by quickly. Mike has a second job now at Old Navy so that means I won't be seeing him much. My best friend Davi is working at American Eagle but he doesn't work that often. I'll be able to hang out with him a lot this summer before he goes back to Gainesville. I'll post again soon. TTFN. |

I'm sooo excited!! I just bought my tickets for the Backstreet Boys concert! They are good tickets too! I can't wait!! The Backstreet Boys have been my biggest obsession ever. From 8th grade until their "break", I was a huge fan. I had posters all over my room, to the point that I had absolutely no wall space. I have all of their videos, cds, magazines, and tour books. I saw them at Y100 Summer Splash and I must say they are as amazing as I remember. I'm going to the concert with my friend Jenny. She is still obsessed with them. My obsession, on the other hand, faded away a bit. I still love them though. Well, that is it for this post. I'll post again soon. I hope I have an interesting weekend. TTFN. |

Last night was fun. I went to Dolphin mall after work to meet up with Mike. We hung out for a while and then went to Chili's to have dinner with Rene and Marisel. It was Rene's 24th birthday. Ñoooo que viejo! JK. We had a lot of fun talking and taking random pictures. I'll post them later. I then had to drive aaall the way home from Kendall at midnight and then wake up at 7am the next morning. I ended up going to sleep at 3am because I had to sweep my computer of this freaking new virus it has. I got it from an IM from one of my friends on my buddy list. DAMN! Now you can't even trust messages from your own friends. The virus automatically sends itself to all of your friends on your buddy list when you download it. It really sux! I hope I can quarantine it soon. NORTON ANTIVIRUS SUCKS ASS!! Well, that is the end of my post. I'm still at work. Hopefully I can do something fun today. TTFN.

Well, today is an average day. Not too hectic at work. I guess since I have time to just eat crap I'll fill you in on my weekend. I know that Wednesday is not part of the weekend but it was an important day. It was my birthday! I turned 20 years old. I am no longer a teenager and not quite an adult. I'm somewhere in between. In Britney's words "I'm not a girl, not yet a woman. "I celebrated my birthday at my house on Wednesday with my family and close friends. I had a lot of fun. There was a great turn out. Thursday, I went to a free movie at Aventura Mall. We saw High Tension and then saw The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Both movies were really good. Friday, I spent the day with Davi and bought A LOT of clothes at Dolphin Mall. I went to a Marlins game at night with my friend Jenny. After the Marlins game we went to Erika's house and played boardgames. We played Cranium first, Boys vs Girls and the girls won!! Woohoo! Then I discovered the game Scattergories. OMG!! That game is soooo much fun. I'm going to buy it at Walmart. Saturday was a blast. We went to Bongo's to celebrate my birthday. We had dinner and then danced the night away. You can't end an outing without making a pit stop at Denny's. We did just that. We just had drinks because we were so dehydrated. Sunday, I saw the movie the Honey Mooners with Erika, Mike, and some of his friends. I started my new job on Monday. It isn't too difficult. A little tedious but not rocket science. I hope it continues to run smoothly. I'm going to go see Mike after work... can't wait. I haven't seen him since Sunday. Well, that's the end of my post. Post again soon. TTFN.
PS. The Backstreet Boys cd came out yesterday but I was not able to go buy it. I'm buying it after work! Can't wait!! Woohoo!! BSB #1!! I feel like I'm 13 years old again. :0) Concert tickets go on sale on Saturday. I'm camping out. LOL. |

Well today is my first day at work and I'm actually updating from work. I'm really bored because it is pretty slow and there aren't too many phone calls coming in. I'm a receptionist at Laser International. It is the freight company where my aunt works. I had to wake up really early this morning after coming home late last night from the movies and Denny's. We saw the movie the The Honeymooners. It wasn't really that good but I did chuckle a few times. After the movie I had dinner at Denny's with Mike and his friend Jason. They took forever to take our order and to top it all off our waiter was a bit on the cranky side. I should be leaving work in about 2 or 3 hours so hopefully they go by quickly. I hate not being productive. I'm just sitting here waiting for the phone to ring. At least I get to listen to music. Oh on another note, Mike and I made 2 months together yesterday. Wow! 1. whatever you do, don't just show up at her house. she runs around in her underwear just like we do.
2. DON'T CHEAT ON HER. it may seem foolproof, but girls tell each other everything about everything. trust me, she WILL find out and you will be mud.
3. beware of every single male relative and all guy friends. any of them would kick your ass at the drop of a hat, and a lot of them wouldn't even wait for the damn hat.

Well, last night I went to Y100 Summer Splash! The concert was amazing! I had sooo much fun. The best act by far was the Backstreet Boys (my main reason for attending the concert). I was an obsessed fan back in the day and it was great to see them back together. Simple Plan's performance was unbelievable. They gave me chills. Ryan Cabrera and Jesse McCartney were extremely hot and pretty nice to look at. Gwen Stefani delivered an incredible performance and made the crowd go wild with all of her hit songs. Ciara wrapped up the show and danced her ass off... literally. That girl's ass has a mind of its own. I need to learn to move like she does. The other artists that performed were Gavin Degraw, Pussy cat dolls, Mario, and Tyler Hilton. Lindsay Lohan was the host. In summary, the concert was AMAZING! We sat really close up and could smell their sweat... lol. I had a wonderful time and can't wait till the next concert. That is the end of my post. I'll post again soon. TTFN.

I saw Devil's Rejects tonight for free at Sunset Place because my friend won free tickets and we had no idea what film we were going to see. OMG!! What a torturous movie! I couldn't wait for it to finish. I've never seen so much blood and guts in a film. It was a flick made by Rob Zombie so I guess I should've seen it coming. I don't recommend it at all. You will want to slit your wrist half way through the film. It stars Rob Zombie and his wife so the acting sux. It looks like they got the entire cast from a Freak Show. There were some UGLY people in that movie. I didn't know God created such horrendous looking human beings. Just wanted to express my opinion on the film and spread the word to not waste your money on the movie. I'll post again soon. TTFN.
PS. Star Wars came out tonight and there were these nerds waiting in line fighting with light sabors (sorry if I spelled it wrong). It was quite amusing. The line reaked of sweaty armpits too... LMAO. Where was the febreze when we needed it? LOL. |
